Hazel Dell is an old farming community along the West side of Vancouver. It has a wide variety of home styles and businesses, including restaurants, large chains, local businesses, farms, and home styles ranging from single family to apartments.
Hazel Dell’s farming legacy lives on through the 78th Street Heritage Farm, which is about 79 acres large. Today, the farm is open to visitors, and includes several community programs. Future plans for the farm may include a trail system with signs and exhibits displaying the history of local farming pioneers and how their lives and legacy live on in the community.
Another fun, community event that draws over 20,000 viewers in Hazel Dell is the annual “Parade of Bands” which has been held annually since 1964 on Armed Forces Day.
